After Your First Scan
After Your First Scan
Hopefully you learnt something new about your body composition, and about your health in general after your first scan. But as we often say, the most important part of the scan, is your next scan! This is where we can show you what changes have been created from your diet & exercise efforts between scans.
So even if you don’t understand some numbers on the sheet, don’t worry too much as it will all make perfect sense at the next scan when you see your changes.
So the most important thing you can do right now is to download the InBody app from the app store, or take a photograph of your scan on your phone. Then you will have some numbers with you for the comparison. If you don’t bring either of these, then we won’t be able to go into as much detail with your changes!
So in case you missed it – DOWNLOAD THE INBODY APP NOW!
Then click here to learn how to navigate through the app.
The most common question after a scan is “why is my target weight so low?”. This is all relative, and it depends on how you see yourself and where your weight has been in the past. Some people agree with the suggested target; others do not.
The only reason a fat loss is suggested is to bring males BF% back to 15%, and females back to 23%. This is in the centre of the suggested range for males (10%-20%) and females (18%-28%). But again, this is only a suggestion.
We offer some general suggestions to create change and to improve your composition, but the most important suggestions (in our opinion) are to try to get your visceral fat below level 10, and get your SMM (skeletal muscle mass) to the top end of your suggested normal range.
